On NOV 8, the day before this years #19th Day of the Dead Ceremony in Mullumbimby, I am offering a day for Celebrants, Deathwalkers or Community people, who have an understanding of the needs of a community ceremony, and who want to offer a Community Day of the Dead Ceremony in their area.
You MUST already have some experience in delivering ceremony, preferably involving death. Priority will be given to people who have already attended the DEATHWALKER TRAININGS, as your understanding of content and structure is known.
This will involve :
- Intention and purpose,
- The needs of your community,
- Pre planning requirements,
- Time frame
- Structure, flow and content of the day,
- Art activity,
- Creation of a shrine,
- Creation of the ceremony,
- Choir role
- Involving the people who attend.
It will be 10-3. There is a limit for attendees, so if you want to attend, and meet the criteria, please book in or contact us. We are offering this by Dana/Donation to cover costs
The actual Day of the Dead Community Ceremony will be held on the day following the Training, Sunday NOV 9, between 3-5.
