aining MAY 9-11 @ Lyttleton.\n\nThe Deathwalker Trainings with Zenith Vira
go are highly regarded and applicable to everyone.  They are an incredibl
e\, invaluable and comprehensive body of work to start you off\, or to enh
ance your already rich personal or professional experience. Simply\, for m
any people\, they are unexpectedly lifechanging.\n\nZenith is an acknowled
ged\, respected Elder and pioneer practitioner for over 30 years in this p
rofound work of hands-on experience with people.  She has been teaching\,
pre-need\, end of life\, after-death care and powerful ceremony. She deli
vers everything with an embodied openness\, honesty and a candour that all
ows you to go deeper than you thought possible. Check out her website and
many video links.\n\nOur definition of a Deathwalker is:-\n\n a person wh
o walks their own journey towards their death as openly\, courageously and
as best they can.\n a person who walks with or accompanies others\, in t
heir death or bereavement journey to encourage and empower them to be as o
pen\, courageous and the best they can. Offering guidance to encourage and
empower everyone.\n\nThis 3 day non-residential Training is everything yo
 u need to know about death\, dying &amp\; ceremony\, covering social\, leg
al\, practical\, emotional and many other aspects of the journey.    Th
is deep\, authentic work includes\, but is much more than just death doula
work. Check out her website and many video links.\n\nThis is an intensive
\, informative and intimate workshop.  Enabling you to explore your relat
ionship to your own death\, affirming what you may intrinsically know deep
down\, caring or working with others\, and preparing you by sharing and e
xplaining multiple aspects of the death\, dying\, loss and ceremony proces
s\, and so much more.\n\nShe brings a wealth of lived experience\, a hybri
d of generosity\, for you to take what you need\, into a new\, richer plac
e to do this work personally or professionally.  As a bonus it will help
you face your own death with more awareness and grace.  Listen to your he
art\, find the experienced teacher that sings to you and opens you to a de
eper awareness of life\, death\, yourself and humanity.\n\nThis exception
al Training covers the whole spectrum of the well ness to bereavement jour
ney its\, about knowing what your options are\, considering them\, and mak
ing the decisions that are right for you.  It is highly interactive\, amo
ngst many others things it includes:\n\n Exploring and reframing more use
ful language\n Sustainable self-care in caring or working with the dying
 &amp\; bereaved\n Pre-need legal information\, preparation and advocacy\n
Transitioning from illness to dying\n Care for the dying and after-deat
h body-care\n Expected and sudden death\n Shrouding &amp\; Body disposal
options\n Really understanding Ceremony structure and content\n Working
with trauma through ceremony\n Healthier bereavement and loss.\n\nCombin
ing a hybrid of ancient and more contemporary ways of being present\, real
and beneficial at a challenging time\, appropriate for everyone – for y
our own personal journey\, to accompany a family member or friend\, to inc
rease professional skills or if you feel you have a calling to some or all
aspects of this work.\n\nClasses usually comprise up to only 24 people\,
allowing an intimate alchemy to arise\, which encourages personal explorat
ion\, growth and questions to also occur within the collective experience.
\n\n*In some locations\, there is basic overnight accommodation so please
contact us if you want to explore that option.\n\nOn completion of Deathwa
lker Training\, participants receive a Certificate of Attendance.\n\nAfter
careful consideration\, the NDCC chose not to become an RTO\, and not to
offer an accredited Training. Currently it is not possible to describe you
rself as a Qualified or Certified Deathwalker.  If it was a certifiable
course\, it would need to be much longer than 3 days\, and would require c
ompetency tasks and assessments.\n\nWe decided to deliver this body of wor
k\, universal knowledge and practical information for people\, so they cou
ld add to or enhance their existing knowledge and experience. Their inhere
nt capacity to do death well.  Rather than create a much longer more comp
lex and expensive course\, we trust each person will take this Training an
d allow it to evolve and grow them in the most beneficial way for each per
son and their communities.\n\nSee Training section for more detailed conte
 nt info.\n\n&nbsp\;
