SUMMARY:2025 #2 Byron Shire Deathwalker Training
DESCRIPTION:\n A place has become available due to a cancellation. Please
follow the booking process.\n\nThe Deathwalker Trainings with Zenith Virag
o are highly regarded and applicable to everyone.  They are an incredible
\, invaluable and comprehensive body of work to start you off\, or to enha
nce your already rich personal or professional experience. Simply\, for ma
ny people\, they are unexpectedly lifechanging.\n\nZenith is an acknowledg
ed\, respected Elder and pioneer practitioner for over 30 years in this pr
ofound work of hands-on experience with people.  She has been teaching\,
pre-need\, end of life\, after-death care and powerful ceremony. She deliv
ers everything with an embodied openness\, honesty and a candour that allo
ws you to go deeper than you thought possible. Check out her website and m
any video links.\n\nOur definition of a Deathwalker is:-\n\n a person who
walks their own journey towards their death as openly\, courageously and
as best they can.\n a person who walks with or accompanies others\, in th
eir death or bereavement journey to encourage and empower them to be as op
en\, courageous and the best they can. Offering guidance to encourage and
empower everyone.\n\nThis 3 day non-residential Training is everything you
need to know about death\, dying &amp\; ceremony\, covering social\, lega
l\, practical\, emotional and many other aspects of the journey.    Thi
s deep\, authentic work includes\, but is much more than just death doula
work. Check out her website and many video links.\n\nThis is an intensive\
, informative and intimate workshop.  Enabling you to explore your relati
onship to your own death\, affirming what you may intrinsically know deep
down\, caring or working with others\, and preparing you by sharing and ex
plaining multiple aspects of the death\, dying\, loss and ceremony process
\, and so much more.\n\nShe brings a wealth of lived experience\, a hybrid
of generosity\, for you to take what you need\, into a new\, richer place
to do this work personally or professionally.  As a bonus it will help y
ou face your own death with more awareness and grace.  Listen to your hea
rt\, find the experienced teacher that sings to you and opens you to a dee
per awareness of life\, death\, yourself and humanity.\n\nThis exceptiona
l Training covers the whole spectrum of the well ness to bereavement journ
ey its\, about knowing what your options are\, considering them\, and maki
ng the decisions that are right for you.  It is highly interactive\, amon
gst many others things it includes:\n\n Exploring and reframing more usef
ul language\n Sustainable self-care in caring or working with the dying &
 amp\; bereaved\n Pre-need legal information\, preparation and advocacy\n
Transitioning from illness to dying\n Care for the dying and after-death
body-care\n Expected and sudden death\n Shrouding &amp\; Body disposal
options\n Really understanding Ceremony structure and content\n Working
with trauma through ceremony\n Healthier bereavement and loss.\n\nCombini
ng a hybrid of ancient and more contemporary ways of being present\, real
and beneficial at a challenging time\, appropriate for everyone – for yo
ur own personal journey\, to accompany a family member or friend\, to incr
ease professional skills or if you feel you have a calling to some or all
aspects of this work.\n\nClasses usually comprise up to only 24 people\, a
llowing an intimate alchemy to arise\, which encourages personal explorati
on\, growth and questions to also occur within the collective experience.\
n\n*In some locations\, there is basic overnight accommodation so please c
ontact us if you want to explore that option.\n\nOn completion of Deathwal
ker Training\, participants receive a Certificate of Attendance.\n\nAfter
careful consideration\, the NDCC chose not to become an RTO\, and not to o
ffer an accredited Training. Currently it is not possible to describe your
self as a Qualified or Certified Deathwalker.  If it was a certifiable c
ourse\, it would need to be much longer than 3 days\, and would require co
mpetency tasks and assessments.\n\nWe decided to deliver this body of work
\, universal knowledge and practical information for people\, so they coul
d add to or enhance their existing knowledge and experience. Their inheren
t capacity to do death well.  Rather than create a much longer more compl
ex and expensive course\, we trust each person will take this Training and
allow it to evolve and grow them in the most beneficial way for each pers
on and their communities.\n\nSee Training section for more detailed conten
 t info.\n\n&nbsp\;
