This Training is held in conjunction with The Celebrant Society and is open to their members, but also to other celebrants.
It is for existing or aspiring Celebrants and who want to venture in to or deepen their awareness and abilities of the consultation experience with dying people or families, and then creation and delivery of death, memorial or funeral ceremonies.
*It is not a shortened version of the Deathwalker Training, nor the whole Ceremony Master Class,
The four Modules we will cover are:
1. Exploring dying, death and loss, for ourselves and those we work with.
2. Consulting with dying people and bereaved families.
3. Ceremony structure, content & co ordination.
4. Working with families for sudden, challenging or more complex deaths.
As Celebrants we are required to be comfortable with dying or bereaved people, in order to glean the details needed for the ceremony, and accompany and guide the bereaved people through their rite of passage in acknowledging the death and celebrating their life, and walking on without that person physically in their life.
When a sudden, unexpected or shocking death occurs, especially to the young, the ceremony needs to be well crafted, guiding and healing. As a Celebrant these ceremonies can be more challenging but also more satisfying.
Zenith Virago has over 25 years of embodied experience in the full spectrum of working with the dying and the bereaved, at the bedside, the kitchen table and in ceremony for intimate ceremony and large public memorials.
